What to expect when hiring a Kenyan maid in Dubai
Languages. English is an official language of Kenya and is taught throughout schooling, so fluency is usually genuine rather than conversational. Swahili is the other first language. For families who need someone to handle school communication and appointments, this is the strongest reason to look here.
Experience profile. Many come from hospitality or formal service backgrounds rather than domestic work alone, which shows up in presentation, table service and how they handle guests. Childcare experience is common and warmly reviewed by families.
Documentation. Candidates already in the UAE and free to transfer start faster.
Salary. Typically AED 1,500 to 2,300 live-in and AED 2,200 to 3,000 live-out.
Worth asking on the call. What did you do before domestic work, and what did that job teach you that you still use? Hospitality backgrounds are common and the answer tells you what standard she works to.
