Delete your ChooseMaid account

You can delete your account and the personal data attached to it at any time. This applies to family accounts and to worker (maid, nanny, cook, driver) accounts, whether you signed up on the website or in the ChooseMaid app.

Option 1: In the app

1. Open the ChooseMaid app and go to Account (families) or Settings (workers).
2. Tap Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device.

Option 2: By email

Email hello@choosemaid.com from the address you registered with, with the subject line "Delete my account". We verify the request and delete the account within 7 days, then confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, phone number and password.
• Your profile, including photos, the video introduction and the "about me" text.
• Identity document photos uploaded for verification.
• Your saved candidates, job posts, applications and the activity data we use for analytics.
• Push notification tokens, so the app stops notifying the device.

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment records (plan bought, amount, date) are kept for the period UAE tax and accounting law requires. Card details are never stored by ChooseMaid; they are handled by Stripe.
• A record that a family and a worker exchanged contact details is kept, without the deleted account's personal details, as evidence of the service provided.
• Chat messages you sent remain visible to the other person in that conversation, without your name or photo.
